 You won't want to miss another great year as Children's Action Alliance honors leaders in our community that make a difference for kids. The Honorable Marie Lopez Rogers, Mayor of Avondale, is being recognized with The Jacque Steiner Public Leadership Award for Children. This award, in memory of the late Senator Jacque Steiner, is given to a public official who, through tenacious and courageous leadership, improves the lives and life chances of Arizona's children.
The Horace Steele Child Advocacy Award honors an Arizona citizen who has shown courage, commitment and resolve in improving the lives and life chances of Arizona's children and families, and this year's honoree is The Honorable Diane McCarthy, former state legislator and currently the Director of Partnerships and Government Affairs of West-MEC (Western Maricopa Education Center).
