Please join us in welcoming the newest member to the CAA team, David Higuera. David is the new Director of our Southern Arizona office.
He comes to us from the office of Tucson City Council Member Karin Uhlich, where he was the council member’s point person on transportation, workforce development, small business concerns and immigration-related issues, and was a liaison to small businesses and neighborhood groups.
David has a strong background working in the community and has partnered with CAA in the past, during our campaign to rid the state of payday lenders. He is well aware of the challenges today’s youth face as he has many years of experience working with them as a camp counselor, middle school teacher, program administrator and as a mentor for youth in detention.
David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earned his teaching credential at Oakland, California’s Mills College.
David (firstname.lastname@example.org) is excited to begin his work here at CAA and we look forward to all the positive contributions he’ll make to Arizona’s working families and children, this year and beyond.
